Step-by-Step Guide- How to Deactivate Your Facebook Live Session Effectively

How to Deactivate Facebook Live

In today’s digital age, social media platforms like Facebook have become an integral part of our lives. One of the most popular features on Facebook is Facebook Live, which allows users to broadcast live videos to their friends and followers. However, there may come a time when you want to deactivate Facebook Live for various reasons. In this article, we will guide you through the process of deactivating Facebook Live on your Facebook account.

Step 1: Access Your Facebook Account

The first step in deactivating Facebook Live is to log in to your Facebook account. Open your web browser and go to www.facebook.com. Enter your username and password to log in.

Step 2: Navigate to Your Profile

Once you are logged in, navigate to your profile page. You can do this by clicking on your profile picture in the top left corner of the Facebook homepage. This will take you to your profile page.

Step 3: Go to Settings

On your profile page, click on the three horizontal lines in the top right corner of the screen. This will open a menu. From the menu, select “Settings.”

Step 4: Select “Live Video

In the Settings menu, scroll down and click on “Live Video.” This will open a new page where you can manage your live video settings.

Step 5: Disable Facebook Live

On the Live Video settings page, you will see an option called “Who can see my live videos.” By default, this option is set to “Friends.” To deactivate Facebook Live, click on the drop-down menu and select “Only Me.” This will prevent anyone from viewing your live videos.

Step 6: Save Changes

After selecting “Only Me,” click on the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page. This will apply the changes to your Facebook Live settings.

Step 7: Confirm Deactivation

Facebook will prompt you to confirm your decision to deactivate Facebook Live. Click on “Confirm” to proceed.

Congratulations! You have successfully deactivated Facebook Live on your account. From now on, your live videos will only be visible to you, and no one else will be able to view them. If you ever decide to reactivate Facebook Live, simply follow the same steps and change the “Who can see my live videos” option back to “Friends” or another preferred setting.

Remember, deactivating Facebook Live is a personal choice, and it’s essential to consider your privacy and security while using social media platforms.
